Fulfilling the Prank

A great idea for a senior prank is to fill an office, classroom, gym, or car full of balloons, popcorn, packing peanuts, or any other item that consumes up space.  This is a hilarious prank that is pretty harmless. 

Dixie Cups

This classic prank will also create problems within the school.  Buy 700-1000 Dixie cups or how many you find appropriate.  Fill them up with a little bit of water, but not to much.  And place them all next to each other but very close so that you cannot step between the cups without knocking them down.  Make sure you start on the opposite side of the room and make your way backwards toward the exit!

Bouncy Halls?

Order and Buy thousands of bouncy balls, most likely online.  Get a good group of friends and distribute them amongst each other.  Plan out a certain time in the day where everyone is spread out throughout the school and then just make it rain bouncy balls!  This prank would definitely cause chaos and confusion, but would be hilarious. 

Saran Wrap

An easy prank would be to saran wrap other student’s cars.  Juniors would be the primary target seeing they are the other grade that can drive.  Faculty may be a risky idea, but they would be an option.  This may be one of the more expensive pranks, but it deserves to be on the list.

Forking

Forking the school yard would be another senior prank.  Students would go to a store and buy hundreds of forks, and during the middle of the night they would stick them into the school’s courtyard, lobby, or football field.  This prank would be a risky one seeing that it could be considered vandalism.  A vulgar message may cross the line. 

Just Classic

This classic prank is known all over.  I don’t think I need to explain, but I will.  Buy a bunch of toilet paper rolls and just go crazy.  You can never buy too much toilet paper.  Throw them all over the school’s building, trees, and anything else that works.

Camping Out

This prank involves getting as many seniors as possible and camping out for a night in the parking lot or any other good area.  This would be a fun prank that seems pretty harmless if everything goes right.  Grilling out, chilling, and playing some sports would make this a fun night.

School for Sale?

This prank involves putting as many for sale signs as possible in the front lawn of your school.  This would be a pretty humorous prank not to mention harmless.  Another option is to put a real estate ad in the local newspaper. 

Vaseline Doors

For this prank you need to get a group of seniors, and while class is in session this group needs to run around with numerous jars of Vaseline and rub it all over door handles and lockers.  This will definitely cause students to be mad and will leave a mark in your school’s history.

Better Post-It Note It

This final prank is pretty self-explanatory.  You need to get a whole group of seniors and buy a bunch of post-it note packages.  Then during school sometime or after when no one is in the hallways cover everything with post-it notes.  Completely yellow-out the school hallway and it will look flawless.

1. Put yellow (or really any color) dye in their water though yellow seems to work the best. This usually results in an amusing outcome and is fairly simple.
2. Give them a prank call. A classic prank call is always fun but there are also several online sites such as  http://wakerupper.com/  or http://www.prankdial.com/ where you can enter in a text message and they convert it to a voice message. It seems fairly simple but I have not tried any of them so I am not completely sure that they work.
3. Ask them if they can roll a quarter up and down their nose. Before you give them the quarter cover the edge in some sort of black in, from a marker is usually easiest, so that when they roll it up and down their nose it leaves a black line. This prank is also fairly simple, especially since they’re usually not expecting it and you can have tons of fun with it.
4. Mess with they’re computer when they’re away. There’s several things you can do such as install the blue screen of death screensaver or flip everything upside down. My favorite one is installing a certain firefox add-on at http://www.instructables.com/id/Firefox-Pranks/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss. I have yet to try it but it looks like it should work very well. The only downside is that it will only work on people that use firefox. 
5. Bake a batch or two of cookies. Probably make about a quarter normal and the rest put spicy peppers in them but be sure to remember which are which. When you and maybe a couple friends are eating your cookies (the normal ones) you give the spicy ones to whoever you want to prank. The result is hilarious.
6. This one requires advanced planning and a cool teacher but it sure to work on your friends. Once everyone arrives at school, or at some random point in the day, have the teacher tell everybody that there is a fire in the building and they have to evacuate immediately. If you can, arrange for fire alarms and the whole shebang as they will definitely make it more believable. As I said, make sure you talk to your teacher and plan in advance for this one to work.

1. Lifting a bottle using a straw only

   To perform this, we need an empty bottle of soft drink and a straw.

   

   Challenge anyone to lift the empty bottle of soft drink using the straw without tying or holding it. Here’s how to do it. (See photo below) Fold one end of the straw about an inch and insert it to the bottle slowly.

   

   

   The folded straw served as a hook enabling it to lift the bottle. After lifting the bottle, you can actually swing the bottle to the left and to the right or back and forth. You can perfect this trick by regularly practicing it.

   

2. Adding a spoonful of water to a water-filled soft drink bottle

   In doing this trick, we’ll be needing a water-filled bottle of soft drink, a spoon, a piece of paper and water.

   

   Challenge anyone to add a teaspoon of water on the water-filled bottle without spilling. Of course, they will wonder where to put the additional water because the bottle is already filled. Here’s how to do this simple but amazing trick. Place the piece of paper on the mouth of the bottle.

   

   Turn the bottle upside down. The water content of the bottle won’t spill/leak because the piece of paper serves as stopper.

   

   Now, you can add a teaspoon of water in the bottle.

   

3. Soft drink drinking contest using two straws

   

   Challenge anyone to drink using two straws – one straw inside the bottle and the other on the outside. Bet a thousand dollar for a challenger who can drink or at least reduce the content of the bottle.

10. Spaghetti Trees – 1957

On April 1st 1957, BBC broadcasted a spoof documentary on “spaghetti crops” in Switzerland, including a video of the above woman plucking spaghettis from trees and carefully laying them out in the sun to dry. An approximate 8 million people watched the programme, and some even called in the next day to ask how to grow their own spaghetti trees!

9. Alabama changes the value of Pi -1988

The April newsletter of New Mexicans of Science and Reason (NMSR) published an article in their 1988 issue claiming that the Alabama state legislature passed a law to change the value of Pi to 3.0, and also elaborated on its implications such as “affecting the way math will be taught to school children”.

8. Water on Mars – 2005

On April 1st 2005, the official NASA website uploaded a news story regarding the discover of water on Mars. Upon clicking the link, readers were just greeted with the above picture of a glass of water on a Mars bar.

7. Youtube”s Rickroll – 2008

On April 1st 2008, YouTube changed all their featured video hyperlinks to lead to a video of a “Rickroll”, a popular internet fad which is actually a video of Rick Astley’s “Never gonna give you up”. The video was posted under the username YTRickRollsYou.

6. Electronic Gaming Monthly Annual Hoax – various years

In its April issue every year, popular gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly will publish a hoax. Some examples include the infamous “Mushroom Kingdom Hearts” hoax, where an article regarding a new game featuring a crossover of Mario into the Kingdom Hearts series was published, and also the “Sonic and Tails in Super Smash Brothers Melee” hoax where the magazine announced Sega mascots Sonic and Tails as secret characters in the acclaimed Nintendo fighting game.

5. Annual BMW Innovations – various years

BMW has a tradition of publishing a hoax across British newspapers on April Fools’ Day each year. Examples include “BMW Instant Messaging” and “MINI cars being used in space missions to Mars”.

4. Jovian Plutonian gravitational effect – 1976

On March 31st 1976, British astronomer Sir Patrick Moore announced on BBC Radio that at 9:47 PM the planet Pluto would pass behind Jupiter, temporarily causing a gravitational alignment that would counteract and lessen the Earth’s own gravity. Moore told the listeners that if they jumped in the air at the exact moment that this planetary alignment occurs, they would experience a strange floating sensation. Surprisingly, many listeners called in later that day to say that the experiment worked!

3. Assassination of Bill Gates – 2003

In 2003, a hoax from a highly accurate spoof CNN website claimed that Bill Gates had been assassinated. As a result, Korean TV reported the false news, and the Korean stock market dropped by 1.5%, resulting in a loss of more than 3 billion. The Chinese media also fell for the story.

2. Google Hoaxes – various years

Every year, Google will come up with an April Fools’ day hoax. A few examples would be “Gmail Custom Time”, a feature in which users can edit the time attached to their email. “Google TISP (Toilet Internet Service Provider)”, an internet connection that supposedly used sewage lines, and “Google Gulp”, a fictitious drink announced by the company that supposedly optimize the use of Google’s search engine by increasing the consumer’s intelligence.

1. Wikipedia “Hoaxes” – various years

Wikipedia “hoaxes” its readers every year by displaying unusual articles that seem like hoaxes on the main page. However, these articles are actually true and just seem false. In 2008, the main page displayed information like “Ima Hogg”, an enterprising circus emcee, and “Wiener sausages are named after mathematician Norbert Wiener”.

Year by year, April Fools’ day provides entertainment to many people around the world. Who knows what new hoaxes and jokes will appear next year?

In drinks, replace whiskey with diluted tea water and use coke instead of rum and watch the fun, as your guests will get an entirely different taste in their cocktails.

You can also tamper with colorless drinks like gin, vodka and tequila. In place of tequila, serve a shot of water and the victim won’t realize it soon because the salt and the lemon taste will stay.

You can also trick your friends visually with the drink recipe given below called Black Magic:

Ingredients:

• 150ml Pineapple juice
• 30ml dark rum
• Dash of orange squash
• Dash of lemon juice
• 10ml grenadine syrup
• 30ml Peter Herring cherry liqueur

Method:

1. Blend all the ingredients with three cubes of ice
2. Pour this in a cocktail glass and serve

When served it’s off white in color due to the pineapple juice but as it settles down the color of dark rum appears.

But remember the pranks you are playing with your friends should be harmless. The idea is to sit back and laugh your heart out.

1. Terminate the call with, “Remember, we never had this conversation.”

2. Say hello, act stunned for five seconds, then behave as if they called you.

3. If they repeat the order to make sure they have it right, say, “Okay, that’ll be $10.99; please pull up to the first window.”
4. When they say, “What would you like?” say, “Huh? Oh, you mean now.”
5. Dance all around the word “pizza.” Avoid saying it at all costs. If (s)he says it, say, “Please don’t mention that word.”
6. Ask how many dolphins were killed to make that pizza.
7. When they say, “Will that be all?” snicker and say, “We’ll find out, won’t we?”
8. When you’re given the price, say, “Ooh, that sounds complicated. I hate math.”
9. Put them on hold.
10. Start the conversation by reciting today’s date and saying, “This may be my last entry.”
11. When they repeat your order, say, “Again, with a little more ‘oomph’ this time.”
12. Start the conversation with “My Call to Pizza Place, Take 1, and… action!”
13. Order two toppings, then say, “No, they’ll start fighting.”
14. Change your accent every three seconds.
15. If any of the above practices are rejected by the order taker, say, in your best pouty voice, “Last guy let me do it.”
