It is now Edward Niño Hernandez, 24, the Guinness World Record Book 2011 where he was announced as the world’s smallest man in the world. He is only 27 inches tall.

Cochineal comes from beetles collected by people in Mexico. These are than dried and crushed to a fine powder which is mixed with water to make a rich dye. To make one kg (2.2 lb) of dye about 150,000 beetles are needed.

Edward Hernandez a 24 year old man from Colombia has been revealed as the World’s shortest man. The Guinness Book of Records substantiated the fact that at just 27 inches short (70cms) he is officially the shortest in the world.
