10 Reasons Why You’re an Idiot
Read this article to find out the 10 reasons why you’re an idiot.
Hello!
Evidently as you opened this article, you were probably irritated–I am obviously not an idot; so why am I reading this article?
It was probably curiosity in that could there really be a reason why I failed that test last week, or didn’t get that job?
Not one that I can answer.
The headline was simply the most inflammatory headline I’ve ever put up; and I apologize for that, but I began to realize that many people put up humorous ones that seem to grab people’s attention. So, I thought I’d try it out.
As a lot of you probably aren’t even in the least stirred by the title, and didn’t even crack a grin, please don’t think any less of me.
But for those that seem rather interested in such a topic, try reading this article, because it actually has a few interesting things in it!
And, by the way, I’d really love it if ANYONE that reads this article, or even if they just made it this far, if they could leave me a comment, because I’m really interested to see how people reacted to this article.
Thanks for your upfront commentary!

(Now the article will actually start–many characters later…:) )
As I was scrolling around on the internet, I stumbled upon a few interesting resources that collect numerous facts about science, and that could be anything: biology, physics, chemistry–whatever.
So I began to think: you don’t always need to write about one thing if you want to blog, so I decided to expand my field.
Here are a few things to “lighten up and expand the mind”:
- The highest temperature produced in a laboratory was 920,000,000 F (511,000,000 C) at the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor in Princeton, NJ, USA.
- Bunnies cannot “let out wind,” or in other words, fart. If they try (such as they eat beans, which gradually increases the acids and gases that are naturally in your system), they will literally explode; gross, as I’m sure you’re imagining a bunny exploding, body and all, but it is true.
- The Venus Flytrap is considered an animal. This is because although it technically “looks” like a plant, it is genetically linked closer to animals and takes on the role of an herbivore–it photosynthesizes, yes, but it also eats bugs such as flies, mosquitoes, and other small types of “meat.”
- Wampum shells were very valuable shells found in the deep sea that could be fastened into belts and decorative clothing. Native American women, for example, as a present to a chief that had just won a war, was given a gift for outstanding battle techniques and style.
- Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system–it has an estimated surface temperature of 864 F (462 C).
- Sound strangely travels faster in water than in air–approximately four times faster.
- Hydrofluoric acid can dissolve glass.
- Thermite, when conducted at the right temperature, can be turned into a flashbang with a can, burnable tube, tape, and a lighter.
- When liquid nitrogen is sprayed into a gun, silenced or not, it overloads the system and the hammer; this causes the gun to explode.
- When glass breaks, the cracks that spread inside it move up to speeds of 3,000 mph.
I particulary enjoyed the last one; never knew that glass could move so fast! (well, that is a poorly taken quote out of context, but it still works–slightly.
)
And for all you plagiarizers, what goes around comes around; being original or referencing your sources is so much easier than having to deal with someone who plagiarizes YOUR work. That extra five minutes in which you spend writing your own work or attributing your sources could save you five months of apologetic responses and tearing down articles. Simple as that.
(My Sources: Science Explorer, http://www.dekalbtutor.com/Facts.cfm, and random facts that I have collected over the years.)
Thanks for reading, and hopefully you enjoyed it!

Hi JK Kristie and Gabriella,
Thanks for reviewing my article; again, I apologize for the highly inflammatory article, but I could never imagine the title 10 Highly Interesting Science Facts appealing to anyone, so I decided to think outside the box…
Thanks once again for you comments, and feel free to pass this article onto anyone that would be interested!

It’s true that I probably wouldn’t have read ‘10 Highly Interesting Science Facts’ but if you had titled your article, “The Venus Fly Trap is An Animal, and Other Not-So-Well-Known Facts”, I would have been curious enough to stop by…:)
Wow — what a curve ball!
First I expect a nice, self-denigrating article, then I get science facts!
Is it bad that I want to feed beans to a bunny now?
Haha that was hilarious!!
