1. Appeal after every single  ball that is bowled.

2. If wicket keeping, taunt the batsman but so no-one else can hear you.

3. If you are batting, tie your shoelace when they are just about to bowl it.

4. When bowling, run up then stop to re-bowl.

5. Pretend to faint in the middle of the pitch.

6. Start clapping louder and faster every time the bowler is running in.

7. Pretend to faint in the field.

8. Giggle to yourself and don’t tell anyone what you’re laughing at.

9. When fielding the ball do a weak throw back , having to re-field it.

10. Hum louder and louder till someone says something.

WARNING: If the person looks angry, stop as cricket bats DO hurt when hit with one.

Those things are just not cricket! Mind you, I can see the funny side of it, and when England plays Australia again I’ll be sure to let our team read-up on this article.

    Nice to have you back.

Lol! I can’t help it – my grandparents were avid cricket fans and used to take me to matches sometimes when I was a child. I had absolutely no idea what was happening and used to while away the day reading a good book, only looking up to join in the occasional smattering of light applause!
