Colorful Birds
These birds dazzle the eye.

These parakeets are quite happy at the zoo. Some sing, others chirp, and some even talk. “Hey! Where did you get that sweater?” one might ask a passerby. Nature has created a palette of colors in them.

This little bird is having a bite to eat. He apparently hasn’t learned to ask for bird feed from his cage.

It appears that this parakeet has escaped his cage. It’s good to have a little freedom! Hopefully all of the windows are closed or she may fly away. He had better hope that no cats are in the house.

This exotic bird is a lovely lime green. She has an exquisite red beak to compliment her feathers.

The first bird is not a she, it is a male Indian Ringneck parakeet (parakeet=generally parrots with long tails). And of course the other little parrots are actually budgerigars, or budgies, but generically called parakeets in the U.S..
And parrots are fun, I have three. My Quaker is telling me right now he wants a bath, so better hop to it–he has me trained well!
