How Birds See the World
A short piece of prose I wrote after watching birds outside.

The world is divided into these categories:
- Food/Water
- Shelter
- Cats
- Babies
Humans: Humans are just another kind of cat, since they have four legs, but a strange sort of cat since they don’t have any fur, except on their heads. They cannot be birds, event though they can sing like them, eat the same things, and feed them sometimes. As I said they feed them, or eat them or put them in jail. Strange cats. They cannot fly. No wonder, since they are so poorly proportioned.
Cats: Cats are the enemy. The aforementioned type of cats raise these monsters as their own children as well as another kind of cat that does not meow or speak the other language these speak. The most that birds can say about this strange language that this third type of cat speaks is that is part singing, and another repeated word, “arf!”
Food/Water: These are usually plentiful. The previously mentioned kind of cats give birds their own freely as well as the enemy the other kind of cat mentioned and another type of cat, which has a large bushy tail, and is even more nervous than birds, which says a lot. These kinds of cats are no threat whasoever, except when copmeting for food and shelter.
Shelter: Shelter can be found almost anywhere.
Flowers: Flowers are another type of bird, because they look just as nice, drink water, but cannot fly or sing.
Birds talk about very few things; where there is food or water, shelter or cats or how many of their babies have survived to date. Oh and they also thank the first-mentioned cats for the food, water and shelter….and once in a while they give advice to those who listen.
