What can you do to prevent a horrifying Shark Attack?

-          First of all: Where are you swimming? Try not to swim in a Shark infested area – usually the Ocean – if the water is salty, you’re in the Ocean.

-          Try to swim with a companion – this will help you fight the Shark off if you are faced with one, and it will reduce your chances of being eaten with your partner at sea is a bit bigger than you.

-          You can always carry a weapon like a harpoon, so you can quickly and effectively piece the Sharks body. The only problem is that harpoons are very big and heavy.

-          The dress code of Shark infested waters is not bright and fluorescent, but dull and neutral. Ditch those orange swimming trunks your grandmother gave you and buy some new kit!

-          Buy a can of Shark repellent.

What do you do when faced with a flesh-eating Shark?

-          Be calm. Even when you’re about to be eaten. Shark sense fear, and when they do, you’re in for a party.

-          Remember that if you are with a bigger friend, your chances of being eaten are much slimmer.

-          Don’t scream – this will not help you get the Shark away, and make you look like a lunatic from the shore.

-          In case that you are actually bitten, avoid hysterically screaming at the top of you lungs, as people on shore are having a pleasant holiday, and you might spoil it.

-          Fight back. Aim for the eyes and the gills. Pretend the Shark is that bully you always hated. Punch, kick, and use your elbows and knees. Show the Shark who is boss.
