Oh No, Not Another Funny Cat Thing!
Cats are the epitome of composure and self-control. Dogs drool. Cats RULE. So when we capture an image of a cat that is anything other than total composure, it can be considered funny.
HTML Cannot Do That!
For when seeing is most definitely not believing, something for we web builders out there. HTML can do some pretty wonderful stuff but it is not dynamic and nothing you say can make me believe that this is ‘just’ HTML. –Are you high on catnip?
Whistler’s Mother?
American-born painter James McNeill Whistler, did not paint this, but if he had it would have been popular even back in 1871. Cats have been associated with human for about 9500 years. It was recently discovered that domestication did not occur in Egypt with the cult of the cat, but that it occurred in Africa through at least 5 separate ’self-domesticating’ species. Valued for their companionship and ability to be taught a few commands, the cat is known to hunt or prey upon over 1000 species of other animal and insects too, for food.

Cats do not like baths, the ones that people give. Pure torture, -why would any self-respecting cat-owned person want to willing do this to themselves? Or worse, to one of us?
Paradox of Schrödinger’s Cat
An Austrian physicist in 1935 created a ‘thought experiment’ whereby a cat placed into a box with a vial of radioactive material and closed-up, would produce one of two results. –If a Geiger counter detected radiation, the vial had spilled and the cat was dead. Or, no radiation meant the cat was still alive. But in quantum mechanics, the cat can be described as dead or alive depending upon the earlier random event (the spilling of the vial.) Somehow, this is supposed to be what he called “Verschränkung” (“entanglement”.)
-I bet that Schrödinger never even owned a cat before, ever! Else he would have seen this event coming.
Clearly, Goofed on Catnip
Invisible corn on the cob, perhaps? First thing in the morning, no doubt. There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast, deal with it!
I’m telling you, -no exaggeration, -that rat was THIS BIG!!
With a similar range of hearing on the lower end of the scale, cats have the ability to hear much higher pitched sounds, well above humans’ ability and even just above the range of hearing of dogs!
A mutation in one of two genes early in cat ancestry may have caused cats to lose the ability to taste ’sweet’ as a flavor. But if you have ever watched a cat gag-down a dead mouse, -their ‘lack of taste’ comes as no surprise to me!

The Best Seat In The House
Cats will do what cats will. They can conform to any situation, and make themselves right to home. I think the cat’s name is “Internet Explorer” and it could be said “IE crashed my computer” and (almost) mean it! At least, something DID crash onto the computer, eh?
Cats Are Just So Sneaky
I think I have actually seen cats able to exactly this; make themselves invisible! If you have ever had a cat pounce upon you with claws and teeth in play, you could say “I didn’t see that coming!” You have just been a victim of a stealth attack.

Loved the first one – reminds me of some of my students when they start learning and see what something easy peasy like the tag does! They soon learn that proper web designers don’t do that sort of thing (lol!) but it’s a good carrot on a stick…

I used Stumble to find this, and while the pictures are quite humourous, I must say that, as a “Lolcat” builder, I find the descriptive paragraphs to be a bit much, in a sense taking away from the humour of the pictures and captions.
Just a thought.
