Sea Otters: Cuter Than Kittens?
The sea otter is a highly underrated animal. Although it spends its life floating around in the sea, it’s still furry and cute.

Just because it lives in water doesn’t mean it’s not cute. It spends all day floating around, smashing oysters and other things open with a rock on its tummy. Sometimes they hold hands with each other (see below). There’s probably nothing that could spoil how cute these animals are.
While kittens and cats are still the staple cute animal of the Internet, I am here to convince you that sea otters are better. If you haven’t watched the video above, watch it. It will probably change your whole world view; it did mine.
Round 1: Cuteness
Look at this kitten:

Boring! And a bit ugly. Now look at this sea otter:

I know you know which one is cuter. Round one to the sea otters.
Round 2: Holding Hands
Kittens can’t even hold hands. Look at this:

They’re a shambles. No hand-holding, no cute interaction, they’re just kind of pathetic and boring.

Sea otters, on the other hand, know the score. They’re like “yeah, we’re holding hands, having a sleep, it’s cute, what of it?”. That’s the kind of animal you want to hang out with. That’s the kind of animal you secretly want to be. Round 2 to the sea otters.
Round 3: To Keep as Pets
OK, so you can’t exactly keep a sea otter as a pet, unless you live in the sea. Kittens you can have, but I know if I had one I’d probably neglect it all day while I looked at pictures of sea otters on the Internet. As this is the closest you can get to keeping them as a pet, I’m giving round 3 to the sea otters. If kittens couldn’t even distract me enough to stop looking at pictures of them, you know their cuteness power is strong.
Therefore I come to the conclusion that without a doubt, sea otters are better than kittens. Kitten purists may find this offensive, but the indisputable proof is right here. If you’ve got a problem, take it up with the sea otters.
