I have 2 Chihuahua’s who surprise me everyday. They are both males and their names are Chillie and Jalepeno – yes, as in chillie pepper and jalepeno pepper. They are brothers from the same litter. It is amazing how much alike they are and yet how similar they are at the same time. A while back I began bring a glass of water to bed with me. I carried a glass of water to my bedroom and placed it on my nightstand and went back into the living room and proceeded to watch a little more TV before going to bed. I wasn’t even aware that my “babies” were paying any attention to what I was doing.

At bedtime, I thought that Chillie and Jalepeno may be thirsty and need to get a drink before bed. I told them both to go get a drink. And without even realizing what they were doing, they both proceeded to my nightstand and took their turn getting a drink from my glass of water.

Ever since that incident I bring them their own glass of water to bed every night, and they always get a drink before getting under the covers.
