How to Set System for Best Performance

A short, simple trick to hopefully increase your computer’s general speed and performance.

This tip is a just a quick and easy change on your computer’s settings which could result in a great increase in speed and performance. If you are not satisfied with the results, it is easily reversible.

To start:

Right-Click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop.

When the menu opens, click on “Properties”.

Once the window is open, click on the “Advanced” tab.

Here, you will see three sections: performance, user profiles, and startup and recovery. Click on the settings of performance.

Another window will now open, called “Performance Options”.

In the “Visual Effects” tab, choose “Adjust for best performance” (Once you click apply, your computer will be turned into the Windows 98 skin)

You’re done!

If you want to change your settings back to normal, choose the option that says “Adjust for best appearance”

If you want to get more specific, you can always customize your computer’s performance. Here you will be able to perform specific changes.
