Like just about anything else drunk motorcycle riding has links to several other things. It also has had to work its way through several hassles that certainly make it worse. This explains these things so sober chopper riders can laugh at the drunk ones.

   Biker Cowboy Comparison.

This starts off way back in the eighteen hundreds before any motorcycle hit a dirt road. It is started that far back in time because riding your horse into town is a lot like riding some rigid frame chopper to any party held on a beach. These two bits of riding are similar because most of the cowboys back then rode into town to hit a saloon to have a wild good time and most of the biker parties held on a beach are done for the same thing.

Horses Like Motorcycles

Even though horses aren’t the same as motorcycles they do have a few similarities. They can be harder to ride while drunk than they ever were while sober. Drunk cowboys are just like drunk bikers. They can make several mistakes that make matters worse.

In order to take care of their horse most of the cowboys would loosen the saddle sync after they tied their horse up to a hitching rail right outside some place like the Side Winder Saloon. They usually had to do that because the sync tended to be very tight to keep the saddle in place as they roped and herded cattle.

   Drunk Cowboys

After spending some time in a bar they ended up having to face several drunk rider tests. First of all if the cowboy could be too drunk to remember loosening the saddle sync. That way the saddle would slide off the horses back as he started mounting. That would be very hazardous if the horse wasn’t perfectly brook. The horse could go crazy and stomp on the cowboy as he lays on the ground almost right underneath it.

The cowboy could harm himself through some other drunken neglect. Back in their time most of them carried some sort of pistol. Back then most of the cowboys didn’t have a very high income so they didn’t purchase one of the new smokeless powder pistols Colt made. Most of them owned a cap and ball pistol that had been assigned to the military in those days.
