Five Foods That Make You Fart
Everyone farts, but some do more than others…and here’s why.
1.) Fiber- Fiber is great for you, but eating a lot of fiber can also make you fart a lot. Ever heard the poem about “beans, beans, they’re good for your heart..”? Well, yeah. Beans make you fart because they’re full of fiber.
2.) Spicy food- Spicy food not only makes you fart, but it can give you weird bowel movements. It’s nothing to be worried about, because it’s completely normal. It’s common that after eating spicy food you may have very bad farts, and explosive bowel movements. Gross, but it’s worth it for some good Indian food.
3.) Changing diet- While eating bad-for-you foods can make you fart, switching from a very unhealthy diet to a very healthy diet can make you fart too! It’s hard to believe, but it’s true. If you’ve been eating mostly fried food, and then you switch to vegetables, get ready for a week or so of intense farting.
4.) Fruits- Fruits are wonderful and good for you, but some fruits, especially different types of berries, can make you fart a lot, especially if you eat too many of them. For example, if you make a smoothie full of blueberries and strawberries, it will be yummy, but you will also find yourself farting to no end.
5.) Cheese- Especially for people who are semi lactose intolerant, cheese can really make you pass gas more than usual. I think it’s worth it, because cheese is delicious, but be careful not to eat enormous amounts of cheese, because cheese-related farts are particularly gross.
