Halloween Spider Webbing
The following is about a phone conversation I had with my friend on the phone.
In downtown Des Moines Iowa there is a newly featured sculpture garden. As I peered from a window in the building I was working in across the street, I noticed a spider web with a spider crawling up the web on the inside in the corner of the window. I also noticed that across the street in the lush green fresh sod there was an eerie sculpture of a spider of sorts, maybe fashioned from bronze. I immediately knew I needed to call my friend. He is a fairly large fellow, about 6′ 1″ and around 280 pounds. I told him I wanted to go to the store and purchase several packages of the fake spider webbing they sell around Halloween time and string it across the sculpture garden, near the spider sculpture. I then told him I’d buy a wiffle ball bat and a fly costume large enough for him to wear. I then told him I wanted him to wear the fly costume and act as if though he were caught in this large web strewn about the sculptures by me. I then told him as he acted stuck in the enormous web in his huge fly costume I’d run up to and past him all the while hitting him with this wiffle ball bat made (in China) of beautiful plastic. During the beating I let him know I wanted him to shout at the top of his lungs “I’m part of this exhibit, help me, I’m part of this exhibit help me !” I proceeded to tell him I’d like to do this thing and record it and toss it on to You Tube, but nothing has happened yet. We can only hope. It is my belief that the world needs to lighten up. This “sculpture garden extravaganza”might help at least 2 people, my friend and I, but maybe more. For now this was just one of the many random and almost meaningless phone conversations I have with this particular fellow.

Hi Brandon: I loved your idea. I noticed the ball and bat photo was taken in a nice patch of clover. I hope you find a four leaf one.
