To survive a zombie apocalypse…

Your Mental and Physical Being

No offence but you have to be in good shape if your ever going to survive. You’ll need to run a lot, and eat very low amounts of food. You also got to think of surviving. Never think of dieing, you do that then their isn’t a point in reading this glide. Never leave anybody behind, even if their bitten, they can provide protection since they’ll scream when they see a dead person running to them. Just do the best you can and you’ll be fine. If you’ve been bitten a shot to the head is painless (Just don’t do it until you absolutely can’t go on). Oh and if your scared of blood, it’s good just to die from the beginning because soooo much blood will be shed, unless you push yourself to handle it…

Weapons and Gear

This is not a video game where you find ammo in a hospital room. This is real life and ammo doesn’t fall from the sky. That is why guns are not very reliable. My weapon of choice would be a broom or mop. If you have an antique sword then use it. Swords and broom sticks, or mops are fast. Maybe not as lethal as guns but aren’t as heavy or hard to use either. If you have a sword its a simple slash to the head. If you have a broom then you’ll need skill. But your not a zombie assassin you are just trying to live. A broom will keep them away long enough for you to make a run for it if you hit hard enough. But if you have a gun use it only when you have no other choice. Try to make every shot count. Which means you’ll need good aiming. Also you need things to help you from not getting bitten. Try wearing thick boots and gloves. Get a skateboard helmet, knee guards, elbow guards, and goggles, also get a heavy duty backpack. Also get binoculars and flare guns with flares. If you don’t find some of these things its alright, move on.  Wear thick pants and a plastic raincoat, or wear 2 pants and a 2 plastic raincoats, just in case… You can get all these from the supermarket read how to get into a super market in the next section.

Food and Water

You are human and need food and water. Food is the last thing on your mind, water is first. You need to go to a supermarket. But don’t just go through the front door, go to where they unload things. Don’t ever go into the building with out a gun. Brooms in close quarters will not help much. A sword is good here too. Once your in go slow, and head to the nearest water aisle. pack as much water into the backpack but leave space for food. Next head to the nearest food aisle. Pack foods with much carbs and less salt and sugar. Also get honey since it doesn’t rot. Do not go near the meat aisle or fish aisle… After that your ready to create a shelter for yourself.

Shelter

This is when your likely to find other survivors. Look for a building that are spaced apart and don’t have any broken windows. Now this is very dangerous because while your doing this zombies are everywhere. A police station should be fine. Do not go into populace places since you will die there. Police stations and other high security areas are safe spots and should provide protection from the living dead.

Living in the Hellish Nightmare You Call Home…

After a while you need to start looking for other people. Get Laptops, satellite phones, any thing. If you have an Internet, try communicating on any chat service. Call for help by dialing 911. No seriously When an Apocalypse is going on you’re not the only one out there surviving. Call or search for help. IF you receive absolutely no feed-back then you go searching yourself. Hot wire a car add some home made protection like boarded windows… anything to help survive while driving. When driving do not go to populace cities or towns. take the long way if you have to and get as much fuel as possible. Make stops to get food and water and get searching. You will most likely find survivors. But some will kill you to get what you have… this is everybody for themselves.

Entertainment

Well usually at this point it would be stupid to play games. But you can steal a crossbow from a local hunting shop, turn branches into simple arrows you got a real-life zombie killing game. Just make sure you have a well defended shelter because anything could happen. Also use your drawing skills to create signs just in case a helicopter comes by. It’s impossible to survive for years after an apocalypse of this level happens, but try to survive as long as you can. Do anything it takes. Maybe someday humans will take back the cities…maybe….
