Would you make it if zombies took over your town? Check out this list and ensure your survival!

Could it Happen?

The zombie apocalypse is an event that many books, movies, and heated debates have considered. Is it possible? We may never know until it happens. The average citizen has no idea what kind of biological weapons the government is creating…any number of chemical weapons created by the government could backfire. So, are zombies an irrational fear? Maybe…but don’t you want to be ready just in case?

How to Prepare

1. Develop a close-knit group of friends.

Tell your closest friends and family about your plan. Determine who is with you and include them in your plan for survival. It is a good idea to include people who have police or military experience. If you know anyone who can fly a plane (or has a plane) then include them in your group as well.

2. Begin collecting an arsenal of weapons and ammunition.

You are going to need a weapon for every member of your group. Although firearms are the best weapons for the zombie apocalypse, don’t stop there! It is wise to collect axes, baseball bats, and other items that may be useful for fending off those undead attackers.

3. Stockpile food and water necessary for survival.

Begin to collect non-perishable food items with a long shelf life. Stockpile the basics such as flour, sugar, salt, yeast, rice, pasta, and canned goods. It would also be wise to begin raising some farm livestock if at all possible. This includes chickens, cattle, pigs, goats, and more. These animals can provide eggs, milk, meat, and even their hides if necessary for survival.

4. Begin collecting things such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood, et cetera.

It is likely that the power is going to go out when the zombie apocalypse is in full force. You should ensure that you have a way to heat your home and have transportation. If you have the means, try to use some kind of renewable energy source such as solar power or wind.

5. Make your home/building impenetrable.

Do what is necessary to make your homeplace safe. Board up windows, create a secret entry, or even build a secret structure somewhere. You will need to reinforce windows, doors, and any unsturdy walls. You should be safe if you live in a brick or stone house. If your home is made of vinyl siding or wood you will need to reinforce it. Build a strong, tall fence around your property. Install camera surveillance systems to watch all entry and exit points.

6. Be prepared to take all necessary measures to ensure your survival.

I know it can be tough to lose a loved one, but if they are bitten by a zombie it is crucial to remove them from the group. The survival of the rest of the group depends on this!
