10 Reasons to Regret Buying a Foreclosed Home
Here are ten reasons to curse the day that you ever bought a foreclosed home.
Congratulations on purchasing your new home. All right, so it’s actually not new. It’s a foreclosed home. You got yourself a real bargain. You should be proud. Wait a minute. There are a few things wrong with the home. It’s too bad for you. That’s the way the house crumbles. Here are ten reasons you may have for regretting to buy a foreclosed home:
- The foundation is sinking. The bricks are crumbling. And your nerves are shattering.
- The roof is a disaster. How do you like having a water fountain in your living room?
- The electricity is touch and go. For the most part, it is a no go. Don’t worry. It’s a real adventure living in the dark.
- The dishwasher doesn’t work. Now is the time to rough it. Put a little elbow grease in your cleaning. Who needs a dishwasher anyway?
- The garbage disposal doesn’t work. Now we’re getting serious. Make sure you eat everything off your plate. You can buy a new disposal tomorrow.
- The furnace is in critical condition. Call a doctor or at least a repairman. Prepare for bad news.
- The ducts are filthy. Even the ducks are abandoning this ship. Call for ductwork at once.
- The hot water heater is broken. Isn’t it refreshing to have a nice cold shower? Why are you looking so blue?
- The toilets aren’t working properly. It’s one thing to be over flowing with love. It’s quite another to be overflowing with…. It’s enough for you to say #@!#%!.
- The basement is flooding. The basement is flooding. Prepare the life jackets. It’s going to be a rocky night.
