10 Reasons Why You Do Not Want to Clean the Basement
You really hate the idea of cleaning the basement. Here are some reason why you feel that way.
The basement is cluttered. The basement is a mess. You’ve been to clean it up. You don’t want to. Here are ten reasons why you do not want to clean the basement.
- It’s an impossible ordeal. You can’t get past the bottom stairs.
- You’ll actually have to see the washer and dryer. Gulp! You might even be expected to do the laundry in the future.
- There are cobwebs on the cobwebs. Even the mold is getting moldier.
- You’ve heard rumors that there is a body buried in the basement. You are not interested in confirming or denying the rumor.
- There are boxes in your basement from twenty years ago. You know that there are valuable things inside the boxes, but you don’t want to see what’s inside of them.
- You know that “clean the basement” means to get rid of junk. You love your junk and do not want to get rid of anything.
- You’re afraid that there might be rats, squirrels, or other varmints. You’ve noticed strange sounds from the basement and are too scared to check them out.
- You know that cleaning the basement is only the beginning. You’ll next have to put a new ceiling in the basement, new flooring, and new storage units.
- You have back pain, stomach pain, and knee pain. You believe that cleaning the basement would be a pain in the neck.
- You know that cleaning the basement will eventually lead to turning the basement into an entertainment center. You hate to entertain. You just want the basement to store your precious items and to be used to clean the laundry.

. Anyway, all your 10’s are significant. Thank you.
Here is what happens. We clean the basement by moving everything to the garage. Then our wives complain that we need to clean the garage. So what do we do? We clean the garage by moving everything to the basement. It’s a never ending cycle.
PS – We love our junk so much, Public Storage Facilities are making tons of money even in a bad economy.
