Here are ten signs that you are about to be laid off from work.

Your company or business is downsizing. Things are a little bit anxious around the water cooler. Here are ten signs that you may be laid off:

1.   Your boss talks to you in the past tense.

2.   Your secretary looks at you like you were a ghost.

3.   When your co-workers discuss about the company picnic, the discussion does not include you.

4.   Your co-workers look at your office like sharks circling around their victim.

5.   Your elevator keeps on bypassing the floor that you work on.

6.   Your desk is cleaner than it has been in years. Unfortunately, you are not responsible for the sudden neatness.

7.   Every employee gets a new benefits package except for you.

8.   Your desk calendar is suddenly blank without any future appointments.

9.   Your name plate is gone.  It is replaced with a blank name plate.

10. The  photograph of your family that was on your desk is missing.  Instead, there is a photograph of your fellow co-worker Fred and his family.
