The awkward elevator: That lady on the 2nd floor who overdoses on Aqua net every morning like she is on her way to a Motley Cru concert. She gets out and I will be high off of the fumes for the next 2 hours. The guy who is always eating Reeses peanut butter cups even though there are 5 of us in here and we are now eating it too. The smokers who find it necessary to smoke a pack at home before they come to work, then another full pack in the car on the way here, I swear , the windows are rolled up the entire way here so they can truly bathe in it, soak it all up in their clothes and hair so they can get there fix throughout the day just by smelling themselves.

Then there are the sick people. Those chronic coughers/sneezers that you do not want to be caught dead in a small enclosed space with ever. They are hacking and coughing, some don’t even bother to cover it. I mean, isn’t that something that you teach your kids to do very early in life??? When you cough and sneeze you cover your mouth! Then sometimes you get that person that you’ve noticed always itching themselves… you’ve seen it and said you yourself “ wow that’s pretty damn gross how red and itchy that guys arms are all the time”. Then it happens, there are 8 people crammed in the elevator , you look to see who it is that’s so uncomfortably pressed against you, and there he is, McScratch rash himself, just going to town.

Now you are convinced for the next 3 days that he gave you that rash, you start itching, which actually starts to cause one and then aha, I knew it, That gross freak did pass it on to me! We all have our awkward elevator stories, I alone have about 5 awkward experiences in my jobs elevator everyday, and don’t say its because I am too lazy to take the stairs although that’s why most of these people use it. Our stairwell is currently under maintenance and we are forced into these awful rides throughout the day. So until the stairs are again usable, see you in the elevator.
