Mums with Menace (mwm)
Here are some of the known facts about Mums With Menace. You might think your mother is mean and nasty, but she may be teetering on the brink of becoming a Mum With Menace. Watch out.
- Sarah Palin is not a MWM, she’s just Baaaad News!
- MWM don’t ask, they tell.
- MWM don’t beg you to eat your veggies, they let you starve to death if you won’t eat them.
- MWM say brushing your teeth will be done for you if you won’t do it yourself. And it won’t be nice.
- MWM know if you gave the dog your broccoli, and they’ll take it out of the dog’s mouth and put it in yours.
- MWM won’t wash clothes if you can’t get them closer than 5 metres to the laundry basket.
- MWM know exactly how long it takes to starve, so don’t tell them you’re starving if you eaten anything at all that week.
- MWM don’t care if your towel is scratchy.
- MWM will “Come here!” when it bloody well suits them!
- MWM will kiss you in public, even if your friends are there too.
- MWM say pocket money, and homework and household chores done, are directly related.
- MWM have a hotline to Santa, and they know more than he does if you’ve been bad or good. You want presents? Do what MWM say!
- MWM know how long you’ve been playing video games and watching TV, and they know when you’ve had enough. Don’t argue, you might end up regretting it.
- MWM are like ordinary mothers who’ve just finally had enough. Watch out, or your mum might turn into a Mum With Menace! It might be all your fault!

Hold tight to the memory of that beautiful baby that arrived one fraught, and exciting day, and you should be alright. That hulking teenaged son, or pouting hellcat daughter was once that beautiful baby, and they are your reason for most things in your life, bad and good, especially the good.
Keep smiling, and remember they’ll have to look after you when you’re old, so don’t burn your bridges.

Thanks Samantha, I wanted to appeal to both mothers and people who were doubtful about Sarah Palin. That covers quite a few people! I’m from Australia, but I was concerned about what might happen at the US election.
