The Coolest Way to Wear Your Hair

Published by Louie Jerome in Life

Hairdos can be very expensive and many people spend a lot of time and money trying to achieve the most natural and stylish looks. All of these happened naturally, with the exception of one which baffles me totally.

The plugged in style!

Plugged into the mains electricity, I mean. How else could could this beautifully crafted mane have  been set in such an amazing cluster of overworked, mini corkscrews? Judging by his facial expression he is still a little shocked by his experience.

You really need to know that all that stuff they tell us about shampoo and conditioners is a total load of bull.  My hairdresser recommends the natural look. I do wish they’d co-ordinate that rope properly though. I mean to say, fancy putting a red tag on it with my colouring.

Go on, admit it! You’re a cheapskate. You had a $5 haircut at this flea market. Are you so surprised that you are scratching and itching?

This fantastic hairdo is that of a clematis bud.  It’s amazingly delicate and soft.  I would challenge any hairdresser to create a look quite like this one.

This really is the latest thing among ponies. Just look at those dreadlocks and fetlocks, complete with blond streaks. There’s no horsing around when it comes to hairstyles with this cool guy. Only the latest will do.  This one has to win the prize for outstanding natural hairstyle of all time.

Excuse me, madam, but exactly what do you have concealed in that coil of hair? I did wonder if perhaps this was to do with the shape of her head. She needs to be very careful when bending forward, or that pole will cosh someone over the head.  That’s it, it’s a new idea for lady police officers.

    Great fun article, Louie.
Believe it or not, during the seventies my hair (but fortunately, not my face) was exactly like that guy in the ‘plugged in’ section of your article. My hair is (naturally) curly and if I wash it and leave it, it goes into tighter curls, so that explains that picture.
Two pictures down from that, perhaps they actually trade in fleas at that market!

Did we lose a couple of pictures out of this? I don’t the pony or the woman mentioned. Otherwise, fun article. I love the clematis.

I may be wrong but I think the first picture is one of Phil Specter during his recent murder trial. The wigs he wore got more and more outlandish every day!

Cool article – have blogged it at Webphemera.com
