What to Do During a Zombie Outbeak `

So there is a newly formed outbreak in which, in our first stage we do not know much about. You have seen the movies, played the games, but this is real. It’s happening to you and there’s no restarts or extra lives, it’s you against the world.

You want need to survive.

Part One:

For this were going to use a test dummy. Let’s say his name is Nate. Now, Nate has been held up in an office building (at work) for several hours and does not know what’s going on. News of the outbreak has reached him and he needs to figure out what to do. He is a guy that makes lots of friends but most of his faimly is not even close to where he lives, in that case he does not need to worry about saving his loved ones, which during an outbreak is always a plus.

Now the power goes out at around 7:00 pm, throughout the night he hears moans, gunshots, and screaming. His Morale is low but he has the will to survive just like you who is reading this.

Nate and a group of co-workers decide to escape the building with the fire escape. This is a great idea considering the low number of zombies are low in the early stages.

Taking a break from Nate, during the first night, you need to stay calm. The best idea would to flee an rural area with a small amount of pepole. During the first days you now know where you want to go but how? Good question, first choice anyone would most likely take is a car. But DO NOT. Traveling on Main sections for cars such as highways will be flooded with the infected, others cars, and many hazards. If you can avoid big roads you still have the problem with gas and the high level of awareness from zombies. Fleeing on foot is also not a recommended choice but still is an option, the best choice would be a bicycle, or a dirt bike, which you can travel off road. Bicycles do not require gas, and produce an efficent ammount of travel.

So far we have,

Day: One-Two

Travel Destanation: Rural Town (Subarb)

Transportation: Bicycle, Motorcycle, Dirt bike, Foot.

Food: None

Wepons:None

Now All we need is some Wepons and Food. Right now you should be able to loot some grocery stores or some other stores onto your destanation. If you are able to you should grab a backpack or something to carry with, some canned foods (cooking not required), 5-10 bottles of water, and some favorite foods to keep morales up.

Next, your going to need wepons. In the first stages, it might be hard and a matter of choice to grab any guns. If you do, if you have no experince, do not use it. Carriers with no experince harm more than the actual danger. If you have experince, any semi-automatic rifle to a colt .45 will do right now. More than ever, you will need meele wepons the most, which include a crowbar, axe, pick, or any blunt or sharp item. Swords May cut and dice but the idea is to stay away from the zombies if possible.

When finding shelter, the best thing to do is plan an escape route right away. Than, loot the house for valuble objects of use (OOU). You should than fill up cups of water, sinks, and bathtubs because you don’t know how long you will have acess to them. Now it’s time to barricade. Locking doors is a simple method but not good enough, you should nail wood around the doors to its frame and stack heavy objects in front of doors and acess points. If the house has too many acess points you may want to re-consider your shelter. Do not call anyone for the lines are already tangled and you will only be adding to the problem. If your planning on a long term stay, a second story house is a good choice. You can use the attic, or you can even demolish the stairs on your way up preventing zombies from coming up. But remember keep an exit route, you want to survive your first night.
