New Girl
Television Show New Girl review.
New girl is a new American television series about a girl called Jess, played by Zoe Deschanel who moves into a flat with three other men. I know what you’re thinking that sounds a bit dodgy, but we find out that she used to live in a house with her ex boyfriend and found out that he was sleeping with someone else in the worst possible way.
She needs to find a place to live because the guy won’t let her in the house because he claims he can’t leave the house so she says she’ll find a new place to live. Luckily she finds this flat and three guys looking for a new room mate and she manages to ace the interview.
But all is not as it seems with Jess as the boys find out just what they have let themselves in for after accepting her into their home.
New Girl is a really sweet show, a bit like scrubs where the jokes come thick and fast and they do cut backs to the past of each character to explain a bit more as to why they say certain phrases.
Jake Johnson plays Nick, a lovable sweet heart who has just broken up with his long time girlfriend. You kind of hope that Nick and Jess get together but luckily the show is not that predictable but if you are a lady watching this you will be charmed by Nick’s character and gentleman like nature.
Max Greenfield plays the other great fun character Schmidt. He is a douche but also really sweet. he puts on the douche bag act whenever he’s around new people because he thinks he sounds dope. But behind that he is a fun loving guy who just wants to seem cool but ends up acting in a stupid way.
Hannah Simone plays Jess’s model girlfriend Cece, she is Jess’s best friend since grade school and looks out for Jess when she moves in with the guys. She is lovely and Schmidt is totally smitten with her. She is really pretty as is Zoe, and has a lot of common sense except when she gets drunk.
Lamorne Morris plays Winston, you don’t see him until the second episode, in the first episode you meet another character called Coach played by Damon Wayans Jr from television show Happy Endings. He ends up following Nick, Schmidt and Jess in their crazy, mad, fun world. Once you join you can never go back!
This is a really sweet television show and it is nice to see something where the men are actually trying their hardest to be sweet and kind to the female characters rather than the shows now where they cheat on their girlfriends or have affairs. I am rooting for Nick and Jess to get together but this show might be unpredictable in that area, guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
