The music world is in mourning today as the man who all but invented heavy metal, Ozzy Osbourne, is dead today at the age of 61. Details are sketchy at this point, but initial reports indicate the the former Black Sabbath singer died , ironically, choling on a jelly bat.
Ozzy Osbourne rose to prominence in the 70s and 80s as the singer for Black sabbath, and continues to forge a pioneering musical career that has spanned 4 decades and multiple generations.
Just days after the man who replaced him as vocalist for Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio, died, Ozzy Osbourne has followed on the road to Rock and Roll Heaven.
News of Ozzy Osbourne being dead began to leak early this morning, as an ambulance was seen leaving the residence. Wife Sharon and his children were apparently all present when Ozzy Osbourne died.
