Memories of Madrid
I had the pleasure of visiting Madrid, Spain a while back, and have a load of wonderful memories from it. Some are little more unusual than others though…
Of all the things to have happened on my trip to Spain, I must say that the most unusual memory I have is from being propositioned by a “working woman” while out sightseeing.
I made a turn down one of the many side streets near the metro stop I got off at just like I normally do. It’s one of my ways of really getting to see a city and not just all the touristy highlights. (One of the other things I normally do is dress like the locals do since I hate being treated like an annoying tourist.)
Well, not too long after I started down the side street I was approached by a young lady who started rambling in Spanish to me while trying to look sexy while sucking a lollipop. Politely I responded in my limited Spanish that I was sorry but I couldn’t understand her.
Without missing a beat she smiled, removed the lollipop, and huskily said “For twenty-five I **** you good.” (I will assume that my gentle reader will be able to fill in the blank on their own accord.)
Needless to say I was taken a little by surprise.
In my very best Southern Gentleman charm, I politely told her that “I appreciate your generous offer, but I’m afraid I have to decline. Thank you none-the-less.”
And with that I left her standing there dumbfounded. I don’t think she’s ever been rejected so politely before…
