The Strange World of Useless Signs
Everyone has seen a sign that doesn’t make sense. Here are a few I found.

It’s raining out, good thing the roads don’t get wet. Wait hold on take a look at the sign, you better be mighty careful. There is water on the road here, what are the odds? If you don’t have common sense then you would need this sign, but seriously is this needed? It is just a waste of time and metal. Who doesn’t know when it’s raining out the roads are wet.

A sign that I can’t read and it seems they clearly know that too. If you didn’t see it, under the fifty arrows, there is a good luck sign. That’s mighty helpful, I need that luck for the rest of the day at this intersection. At least I can go fast past the other forty cars confused and stopping every few seconds.

Anybody up for a dip, never mind we can’t go swimming here, the sign says so. Man, do you know how long I’ve wanted to swim in grass. Just imagine how good it would feel, rocks on your back, grass stains. It would be so much fun, but since there is a sign we can go. Seriously, no one needs this sign to tell them not to swim in grass.

Do you know what I love to do, blow my horn for no good reason. Just to annoy people around me, I am going to blow my horn. Do these people know why we have horns? To tell people to get going, or ask what are you doing? Before people but signs up, think about what they say, it’s kind of the same way in writing. If it’s dumb don’t put it down.

Don’t you just love how metal signs feel? They are so cold, but some how warming. But were going to need to be careful on this one. It says it has sharp edges; we have to stay away or don’t go near the edges. What is the point of this sign, if you can tell me please comment the page. Otherwise this has to be the most useless sign ever.

Anyone want to get in a car crash. Go to this spot and it may take a while to understand, but I think you may get it. You just have to go one way, but the other way is one way. It’s not hard at all just think. Like I said before, I just love confusing signs, it’s like a challenge on the road!

Just stay right and you will be fine. So if you just follow the arrow you go left. Which way should I go, so many decisions. You just have to be completely ignorant to put this sign up and not confuse people. I would think I would do a better job putting up useful signs. But we should leave it to the experts!

Good Stuff. Makes us wonder why their printed. Liked the, ‘Caution, this sign has sharp edges…’
A sign of the time, I think
– aren’t they just lovely?
any one seen the movie “Ideacrocecy”? that’s what i think of.
Hmm… I have seen that “CAUTION: this sign has sharp edges” image before, and it had (and it is just barely visible) in very small print on the bottom, “and bridge is out” or something to this effect. It looks PhotoShop’d out with yellow over-lay.
Anyway, very funny signs.

Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Fakity Hoax.
That’s something like… reality comedy? Realcom? Webcom? Love it!
You’ve got to be kidding? You seriously think all of those are real signs?
5 and 7 are photoshop’d, and the 4th one actually says danger but the D is covered with a sticker. Sarcasm is only funny when the person making the sarcastic joke can see the big picture.
As for 1 and 3…well, they probably mean that the “water on road” is because it puddles there, not just a wet road, but that it actually makes puddles or something. And for 3 it probably is a sign for a pond or quarry that fills up with water or something that is farther up then what the picture shows us.
real signs fake signs who cares I still think is was worth reading just for the humor factor.
I agree with Gordon, you made me laugh, end of story.
Funny, entertaining article!
Blessings.

Sharp edges is my favorite.
Haha..KEEP RIGHT was the clincher. Imagine how many hundreds of people that sign have misled!
Comedy like this keeps me going…
I’ve been taking pics of ones like this and posting them, check my list, (www.triond.com/users/Ralph+Brandt)
These were very funny, no need for being technical, they are just for laughs, loosen up some people. They were all funny.
i called it ” technical funny ” i enjoyed so does everyone.. keep up the good work!
Useless signs indeed. Thanks for the very entertaining article!
If they were Australian signs they’d have bullet holes through them,Aussie hunters use signs for target practice.
I did some looking, at least three of these are elsewhere on triond, the sharp edges (fake), the double one way (may be authentic, probably not) and the Keep Right (fake).
