It’s a trip.

Hey there, My name is Michael Morris and I will start off by saying that coworkers often tell me that I am awfully funny, and that I don’t have to try to make them laugh, all I have to do is talk so this is my attempt to do just that.  If you heard the so called southern drawl in my voice and my choice of words, you would definitely get a laugh.  Its always amazes me when people that hear speak for the first time they always ask me where am I from.  Another thing, I guess because I am from Tampa, now Tampa is considered country, has it always been this way, I did not know this, where has that been all my life.

I was a country boy and didn’t even know it, not that there is anything wrong with being country, its just that I was looking at other people and thinking that they were country, never thought I could be country too. Using words like yaul, dis, dat, dem, dey, hoe the doe (hold the door), never occurred to me that I country, it was common on my street, am I the only one like this or what.  I’m sorry I did not know Tampa, Florida was so country.

Its funny how we live and learn things, so if you are reading this good for you, because you will find out I will find humor in a lot of areas.  And I will tell you a secret to help you get it
listen and never take anything I say seriously, if I say something you find to be true, hopefully you will want to hear it.  Yeah, see you get it already, read on.

Ok, now as I was saying earlier, there are some people that say I am country, whatever, I just didn’t know it.  The truth is when I was a lot younger, I would listen to Richard Pryor and laugh all night long and repeat a lot of things he would say and entertain myself, and most of you probably know how he used to cuss, and I believe using cuss words in comedy is very important.  Muhammad Ali influenced me also, his attitude was regal to me, he didn’t seem to give a doggone.  And you will also hear some deep south Judge Joe Brown southern drawl in my voice, and if you ever heard my accent you would say that I am trying to be funny.  Another fun tidbit is that I cannot stand to hear myself speaking on a recorder, sounds like I had waaay too much to drink.
