10 Bartender Commandments
The biblical 10 commandments re-written for the bar industry.

I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou art a God of thy cocktail, a shepherd of thy drinking flock. Educate thy customers in the ways of the spirit.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
Thou art holy and good. This is what thy customers must believe

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Thou shalt not disclose information of thy fellow bar team member’s antics to thy partners.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Our holy day is Sunday. Recover my brothers and sisters for thy weekend has been long.

Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long.
Listen to thy bartenders that have gone before thee, as they have much to teach and can lead thee to greatness.

Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not use thy knowledge and skill of liquor to cause harm to the flock.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Thou shalt not purposefully intoxicate thy customer, so to gain carnal gratification for oneself.

Thou shalt not steal.
Thy stock is not for thee.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Thou shalt not testify against thy bartender brethren. Thou must stand together in thy face of customer or management adversity.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house.
Thou shalt not seek pleasure in thy neighbors drink, buy thine own.
