Is your job boring? Tired of resorting to that old stand-by of surfing the web to waste time at work? Here are some unique ways to make your working day more bearable.

Is your job boring? Are you tired of resorting to that old stand-by of surfing the web to waste time at work? Here are some unique ways to make your working day more bearable, using things that are commonly found around the office.

  • Make origami boats out of old papers. They can be used to decorate your office or cubicle. They also make great candy dishes. You’re not wasting time, but rather, helping the environment by reusing paper.

  • Make a log cabin out of your writing utensils. Who needs Lincoln Logs when you have sharpies and number two pencils?

  • Build a house of obsolete technology. Finally those floppy disks have a use again!

  •  Look for alcohol in the break room refrigerator. This should really help make your job more tolerable! If your boss is keeping booze in the office, he wants you to have some!

  • Learn to tie knots. FireWire doesn’t have to be completely useless! Just don’t make a noose, as you may find it impossible to resist the urge to hang yourself.

  • Try to uncover skeletons in the closet. You never know what interesting things you’ll find in the storage room!

All of the photos on this page were taken by me while I should have been working!
