I’m an unemployed 45 year old white male, seeking appropriate employment. I do have a college degree from the most accredited culinary school in the world,The Culinary Institute of America..and I’m applying for hourly jobs at places like Dunkin Donuts! Seriously, a former Chef and Manager and I can’t get a job.
I do believe it’s partly because of my age, at 45 my “shelf life” has expired. Gone are the days of burning the candle at both ends, both in my private and professional life, after my “career” i’m lucky I still have a wick at all!
So that’s what I need, adrenaline junkie that I am, to get up every morning, drink my own pot of coffee just to get started, and then go get all jacked up on caffeine at my employer’s joint! “Here, let me brew that espresso for you…!”
But seriously, they ask the question on the employ page “Why do you want to work at Dunkin Donuts?” Hello?! Are you asking me to be realistic, sarcastic, WHAT?!
