Unusual Jobs
If you are looking for work, perhaps you might find a job in one of these fields.

Years ago a friend of mine had what I considered a very unusual, and fun job. He was a kite flier. He worked at a kite store and his job was to spend four hours a day on a hill behind the store keeping a kite flying for customers to see. There were actually three other guys who were kite fliers as well. These guys got paid quite well for what I considered a few hours of play.
I hadn’t thought of my friend or his unusual job until today when I had an opportunity to view a video about a worm grunter. For those of you who are not up on worm grunting. It is a way to make a few extra dollars in cash. You simply hammer a round log in the ground and then run this metal bar of some kind across it making the ground vibrate. The vibrations makes night crawlers rise to the surface when you can then gather them up and sell them as bait.
I am sure you probably need a special bar and perhaps even a bit of training for this job but it certainly caught my attention. It also got to thinking about some other possible unusual jobs that one might want to look into in these economic distressed times.
Here are just a few:
Golf ball Diver

A golf ball diver is simply a person who works at a golf course and goes into the water hazard and collects the balls that ended up there. An interesting occupation and one a teen ager might actually enjoy during the hot summer months.
Oder Judge
Now this is an interesting job. An oder judge is someone who sniffs armpits of people trying out new deodorants to see how effective they are. You would certainly have to have a pretty sharp nose for business to appreciate this job.
Chicken Sexer

Farmers do this for free, but there are places that actually pay someone to check out chicks and determine if they are a chick chick or a dude chick.
Gum Buster
This is a super sleuth of sticky situations. A gum buster is actually someone who checks out the undersides of tables and chairs for gum and removes it. I am sure that these people are in high demand in Mall food courts.
Laughter Therapists
This job is one that requires a great sense of humor as you actually have to be able to make people laugh. Laughter therapists teach people how to lighten up and see the humorous side of life. I think a gum buster might just need one of these therapists after a few years on the job!
While all of these jobs sound interesting. I don’t think I am cut out to work for in any of the fields listed above. Perhaps, it is time I should consider going back to school.
