Rush Limbaugh Dead?

     Gotcha again.  Sort of.  If it is true, it hasn’t hit CNN yet, and you know they’d be on it before it was done; in the ultimate irony of situations, Rush Limbaugh in death would be politicised to death in the environment he created.  The republicans would claim that it was a plot staged by the Obama Socialist Party, the democrats would use it as an excuse to spend some more money.  You’ll have to forgive me… if I seem a bit callous it’s because as we’ve been over, some celebrity or another either dies (or might have died) every day.  We kiss their backsides posthumously for a period of time proportionate to just how famous they were.  Michael may or may not have been a homosexual pedophile or maybe die, but he wasa famous freak.  So we worshipped him for months; we still are.  Brittney Murphy was a lousy actress.  There’s a reason we didn’t know who the hell she was.  So we polished her up some for a week.

     The point is this…. If he isn’t dead, and it was just a Rush Limbaugh heart attack, then it will be one day.  If this is it, do we want to cannonize this one?  Do we really want to create a martyr for a campaign of hatred and prejudice?  Because that’s what will happen if we allow this to happen.  Just food for thought; just in case it’s true.  I’m sure I’ll piss a few people off this time, and if so, good.  Enough with idolatry, especially when any idol will do.  Open your damn eyes.
