Out of the Mouths of Babes 2
Sometimes the wrong word is the right one!
When my daughter was in the third grade, I picked her up from school and soon we were following a small bus travelling slowly up a steep hill. Gazing out of the window, my daughter said’
” Mummy, are those people on the buss terrorists?”
Now we live in a village that is famous for its country walks and the fact that the longest standing comedy programme in the UK ( maybe in the world, who knows, it has been going since 1973) is filmed there. So I didn’t drive into the nearest ditch but simply asked,
” Do you mean tourists?”
” Yes,” she replied
When they do film, the roads are usually blocked with camera equipment and onlookers ,which means a huge detour to get anywhere, which annoys residents greatly. I simply informed her that maybe she had got the term right first time!
