Some weird stuff here about experiences people call miracles and attach to their religious beliefs.

The news media constantly presents stories of weird and unusual religious events and so called “miracles” almost daily. People are fascinated by what many call supernatural and others call a hoax. The Christian Church has for centuries experienced people claiming unexplainable visions and experiences that have spiritual significance in their lives and life of the religious communities they are a part of.

The Catholic Church has a designated Jesuit Order that research and study extra-ordinary events, experiences and personal happenings that their members report. Sometimes they verify the miracles and mysteries, while in other cases they find no veracity to the claims (so they say). Many of these strange mysteries defy scientific explanation and haunt religious researchers.

Here are a few of these bizarre and strange “miracles” and mysteries:

Stigmata -is a mystery where wounds appear on various people from no apparent injury, and they are located in areas where Jesus Christ was reported to have suffered crucifixion wounds [hands, feet, head, upper thorax area], the wounds bleed profusely at times then stop, no infection ever appears around the afflicted areas.

Raining Money: answer to prayer – there are numerous reported and documented cases of people praying for money and within moments the sky rained quarters/dimes/pennies; in some reported incidents actual $10 and $20 dollars bills, German marks, British half-penny showers and more.

Jesus and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich– in 2004 an image of what some saw as Virgin Mary appeared on a grilled cheese sandwich which was sold on Ebay for $28,000…bizarre!

Visions and Appearances of the Virgin Mary – the Shrine of Fatima and Medugorje are examples of reported sightings of the Holy Mother of the Jesus where predictions were given to the world and healing are said to occur.

Faces and Crosses in the sky — many people report seeing blazing gold crosses in the sky during daytime and night, other report seeing the face of who they believe is Jesus looking down upon them. Most of these visions are followed by some meaningful event in each person’s life, which they associate with the vision in the sky they experienced.

Veil of Veronica – is a religious relic said to have miraculous power; a woman named Veronica it is said, took pity on Jesus as he was carrying his cross through the streets of Jerusalem on the way to his crucifixion at Calvary and she came out of the crowd and wiped the blood and sweat from his face with her veil. Her kindness was rewarded by Jesus, as he worked a miracle and left a painting-like imprint of his face on the veil and legend says that the veil has healing powers.

Wow these are only a very few of the strange mysteries and weird miracle stories surrounding some folks religious beliefs.

I had a strange experince the other night at my house and wanted to see if anyone had ever experianced this. An an invisible force streched my body and I preformed these stretches like I had been doing yogo for ten years. It lasted for about 20 min. With the way I was streched I thought my back was going to break but when it ended I felt great, it’s been two days and I keep feeling better. What was that?
