The Machine

Sister Rose is a famous nun. She is spent her life ministering to the poor.

To raise funds for her charity in the slums of Calcutta, she comes to California.

She spends the whole first day praying silently for the success of her mission.

The second day she goes out for a few hours but leaves on her answering machine.

When somebody calls, the machine says:

“A blessed day to you, this is Sister Rose of the Nuns for the Poor. Please leave a message.”

The next day, the answering machine says:

“This is Sister Rose. I am off doing the Lord’s work.”

The third day, the machine says:

” This is Sis Rosie. I am not in right now, but…”
