Everyone gets to have their own opinion without forcing it on anyone else. They're just kids costumes, let's not get too worked up! So many important things are happening in the world .. this is something dumb to fight about.

Here's the origin of Halloween:<br />
"The Celts believed that during "Samhain" the veil separating life from death was at its thinnest. On the evening of October 31, the evil spirits and souls of the dead passed through the barrier and visited the world of the living. The Celts believed these spirits could cause all kind of havoc. They also believed that they could talk with the dead, departed loved ones and such. They also believed that they could devine the future. The powers of darkness were conjured up on "Samhain". The Devil himself, would be called upon to foretell of future events.<br />
Samhain was the supreme night of demonic jubilation. Spirits of the dead would rise out of their graves and wander the countryside, trying to return to the homes where they formerly lived. Frightened villagers tried to appease these wandering spirits by offering them gifts of fruit and nuts. This is the origin of our present day "trick-or-treat." They began the tradition of placing plates of the finest food and bits of treats that the household had to offer on their doorsteps, as gifts, to appease the hunger of the ghostly wanderers. If not placated, villagers feared that the spirits would kill their flocks or destroy their property."<br />
<br />
It has always been the "devil's" holiday. Most of these costumes are cute and funny not "darker than sin". Get over it. It you don't like it, don't read it!

This is totally tragic. No wonder Halloween is becoming the devil's holiday and darker than sin.

Thanks for all of the comments! The chicken is definitely gross, so are the baby hats. I guess counselors need something to talk about though! I think the Oompa Loompa is especially cute/creepy. I'm so happy that so many people like this one!

I like the Money Bag - the chicken is a bit gross but chances are the child is too young to remember this Halloween season.
