Can you imagine 2,000 or even 20,000 people giving just $1 each to a good cause? What about one million people, just giving $1? There are so many people in need, out of work, or just having a hard time. And there are millions that can spare a buck. Combine the two and the world could be just a little bit better.

What I’m describing is what could be the “Tweeple Fund” that a friend of mine set up. It’s a donation system that uses the renowned Twitter to get the word out amongst thousands of followers and millions of users. It started out as a simple fund to collect enough cash for a friend to get back on their feet. In today’s economy it is hard to just take $1,000 out of your wallet and hand it over. It’s likely that a lot of us don’t have $1,000 in our savings. But when thousands of people get together and just give a couple dollars then no one person is burdened to help another.

This is a vision my friend has that could very well become a reality. And why shouldn’t it? The generosity of many has already succeeded in helping one person stay off the streets. Why can’t the small donation of thousands help many others in need? It is possible! All you, the population of the world, has to do is pass on the word or even give $1 via pay-pal. Even those who can’t help out financially can still spread the word of an idea that could change the lives of many.

I’m not here to solicit donations; I’m here to share a great idea.
