Computer Addict
Are you spending way too much time surfing the internet, seeking a form of communication and entertainment? If living without a computer is frightening, the there just may be a problem, you decide.
Does the though of not having access to a computer, make you nervous? Do you feel that checking your email is a priority, first thing in the morning? Is your only communication with humans through you computer? If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then you are on your way to becoming a computer addict, if you answered yes to all three, then you are a computer addict.
Some people work around their computer, and if that is the case, it is ok, but if your computer is your entertainment system and taking time away from doing something productive, or spending time with your family, then it is a problem.
When you take a photo of a family member, are they usually sitting at the computer, when you look back at photo’s are you sitting at a computer. If this is the case the time to act is now; if you should be out doing the food shopping, then get up and go. If you have no idea what your spouse or children are doing, or where they are, go find them and find out what is going on in their lives. If you don’t know when the last time to went out to a movie, there is a problem.
The inter-net should not be a compensation to communicate with others, many use chat rooms to be someone other than who they really are. If this describes you, then again there is a problem, and it is not the addiction. If you are making believe to be someone else, then perhaps you self-esteem is in trouble, and perhaps seeking out professional advice might be a good idea.
Many new moms or those who have been laid off recently, find entertainment and a social life, online. Don’t let computers and the inter-net ruin you life. If your sitting at the computer too much, it is very easy to gain weight, and become lazy. It time for you to get up get out, and interact with humans; face to face.
