Country for No Old Coins
Country where there are no coins.
Laos is a country in Southeast Asia landlocked and covered with mountains and jungles. Different tribes reside in Laos but almost half of the population consists of the people from the neighbor country Thailand.
Laos is an agricultural nation and has faced many attacks and invasions from other countries like Vietnam throughout its history and many people were forced to leave their country and travel to other countries to seek their livelihood. The average income of the citizen in this nation is around 90 dollars and it is almost the lowest income in the world. During nineteenth century French ruled Laos and previously countries like Thailand too invaded Laos and later on Laos was formed by uniting states.
Being one of the poorest countries of the world there are no transactions of coins in Laos as their transaction is based on paper money and there are no coins in this country.

Interesting. Is it cheaper to print paper money than mint coins or is there any other reason why they don’t use coins?
