Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against mad people. In fact, I think we are all a little bonkers in varying degrees. However, the fact is that the folks who are crazier than most flock to me like bees to their hive or bears to the honey.

It could be that you understand this as it happens to you too. Perhaps you thought that you were all alone with this phenomena, but I am here to tell you that I share the same space with you on this matter. There are just some people who seem to have the right pheromones, or presence of being that sends out, ‘if you are completely loopy then hang around with me!’ vibes.

You will know for certain whether we share this trait, as where ever you go someone who is reality challenged will want to be with you. They will sit down next to you when ever their is a space. If you fill the space next to you with shopping then they will still approach you and ask politely if they can sit down where your shopping resides.

You will feel obliged to respond in the affirmative because it seems like the right thing to do. Then, when you realise that they are grinning at you through blackened teeth while clutching a straw donkey and singing ,’I like New York in June….how about you?’ you will know that its too late.

Its too late to get up and move because crazy people are given a hard time. You know that one day that could be you sat there with a straw animal, hoping to find a friendly person to sing with.

Before you know it you end up singing along with them. After-all it would be sad to leave them singing alone. Next you find yourself initiating a different song because you are getting into it now. The melodies are flowing, or rather tumbling like screeching cats, and you are both laughing and taking turns to make the straw donkey dance.

Then eventually its the mad person who gets up to go, leaving you feeling embarrassed as it was supposed to be you who was going to make a getaway. You stand up, look around you and hope that no-one saw you as you wonder why those crazy people seem to think you are one of them………
