You’ll be surprised that the DC comics had created most of these comic superheroes with rather weird and disgusting superpowers.

Are there such things as gross superpowers in comic history? You’ll be surprised that the DC comics had created most of these comic superheroes with rather weird and disgusting superpowers.

Flemgem

Created by Garth Ennis and John McCrea in 1997, Section 8 superhero team is based in an Irish Section in the fictional Gotham city. However, the historical origin of this team and how the members gain their superpowers are rather vague. One of the members of the team with amazingly disgusting superpower is Flemgem who wears green suit with purple eye mask. Flemgem is bald, thin and sickly old man with the ability of expelling large volume of “deadly” phlegm, which can suffocate, blind and gross out enemies.

Bueno Excelente

Also in the Section 8 team is Bueno Excelente, an obese, “dirty” old man in undersized brown overcoat exposing his hairy chest and bulging tummy. He is often sweaty and horny as he gets his power from (sexual) perversion. He will usually gives a disturbing chuckle before uttering the word “Bueno” to defeat his enemies.

Dogwelder

Another team member in Section 8 is Dogwelder, a man in the welder’s mask. He will punish his enemies by welding stray dogs onto his enemies’ faces, living horrifying damage and burnt. Nevertheless, we will never know how Dogwelder has the power and capability of welding dogs onto human flesh, which can be disturbingly creepy.

Arm-Fall-Off-Boy

In the 1960s, a group of heroes called the Legion of Substitute Heroes were created to depict the future of the DC Comics Universe. This group consists of young superheroes who had tried very hard to get a place in the elite group. One of the more memorable superheroes who had fought very hard to join the Legion was the Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, created by Gerard Jones in 1989. Floyd Belkin aka Arm-Fall-of-Boy was rejected from joining the Legion because he got panic and fell apart. Due to huge support from comic lovers, Floyd Belkin made a fresh reappearance in DC comic under a new outlook and a new name – the Splitter.

Matter Eater Lad

Also in the 1960s, Matter-Eater Lad was created as one of the young superheroes who tried to get into the Legion of Substitute Heroes. He acquired the capability of eating any substance after he accidentally got in contact with an anti-gravity metal – Element 152. He can eat anything which gets in his way; from metal doors to glass windows.

Some crazy characters here Sher. My personal favourite would have to be ‘Arm Fall Off Boy’. Wouldn’t back him to save me in a battle with the villan.
