In response to kristian: yes, rural aboriginals do still eat ants.

Hell, I'm a white Australian and in junior school an aboriginal friend pointed out when he identified them once and we tried it as kids. As kids it was probably more gross-out factor then culture, but still..

Sugar ants are a downright dessert next to wichity grubs < google those if you dare...

I absolutely love geoducks and chicken feet! Especially when they’re cooked Chinese style. All the above, except maybe the tarantulas, wouldn’t raise an eyebrow in southern China. Even so, the tarantula might only cause a slight twitch on the brow and just a momentary hesitation there.

I work for a specialty food company, MarxFoods.com and we carry frog legs and geoduck. I made frog legs (see our blog) and they are pretty tame. Still haven’t braved cooking geoduck myself, but I’ve heard it’s great in sushi. Anyway, we’re a great resource to try these products domestically. Not sure if I’m adventurous enough to try anything else on your list!
