Just as he is about to doze off, a jogger stops and raps on the window, asking :

”Do you have the time?”

The man tells him the time and tries to sleep again.

After a few minutes, another jogger comes by, raps on the window, and asks for the time.

The man tells him the time, but now takes a piece of paper, writes on it :

I don’t have the time, and puts it in the window.

He now goes to sleep again.

Ten minutes later, another jogger comes up to the car, raps on window and says :

”It’s nine-fifteen.”
