For as long as I can remember I have wanted to write; various things over the years have meant that although I have have produced videos of my work I have never really tried to push myself that step further to see if I have the skills to do this professionally or not. I’m not going to get into that because I’m focusing on the future here. I believe the future may be in web-television.

During my research and job hunting missions I have realised that maybe the best approach would be to set up a website which shows the series, possibly with the idea of subscribers signing up to watch the latest episodes and making money from it by selling the advertising space. Now this is not a new idea, clearly, over the last couple of years shows such as BEBO’s KateModern, have shown that audiences can be built for this kind of entertainment and that advertisers are willing to try these options.

The major difference here is there are people out there doing this indepentdantly with varying degrees of success and fandom. Just like the Television or movies you watch now, there are shows made with skill and attention and there are shows blantely made for a quick buck.

I intend The Talisman to be in the former, shooting on HD video and editing on the best equipment I can afford, I hope that people will enjoy the show and stick with it through its 3 season proposed run.

As the production progresses I intend to write articles here, describing the trails and tribulations that I go through and hopefully at least some of you will watch the show and comment on what you think of it.
