You are so right! I remember my mother saying most, if not all, of the exact same things. I even wrote a poem entitled, “Things My Mother Taught Me” but I haven’t submitted it yet. Actually, I had forgotten about it until I read your article. Thanks for the reminder and the excellent article!! LOL!!

I think that we had the same mother! I loved it, lots of laughs..those sayings will stay with us for the rest of our lives…Some of the same sayings I used on my daughter when she was very young..yet they didn’t work on her the way that they had worked on me… What’s up with that?
