My New Invention: The O-Chip
I am sure all of you have heard of the V-chip that is to protect our vulnerable children from unsavory TV content. I gave invented the O-chip.
I am sure all of you have heard of the V-chip that is to protect our vulnerable children from unsavory TV content. I want an O-chip. This chip is intended to protect the most vulnerable members of our society from unsavory TV content.
This chip will protect them from material that will fry their minds, warp their consciences and turn them into mindless members of a collective that only think what the collective thinks.
Let me explain how the O-Chip will work. Any time B Hussein Obama appears on or is described in a TV program the chip will turn the screen black and it will cut the audio. I want the O-Chip built and installed on every TV and radio in the country. And the government should finance it. I don’t want anyone to hear, see or even know about this guy who has in 60 days spent more money than every president from George W to George W B. I think it is appropriate to show their names together like that, the man who founded our country and the man who did more to promote freedom world wide than even Abe Lincoln or Ronald Regan. That is GWB in case you missed it.
I can hear the outcry now. “This O-Chip is censorship. It is government control of the media.” I agree the O-chip would be that. But I only propose it because it is already being proposed in another form by the democrats. They want to reinstitute the “fairness doctrine” which is a form of government censorship. Let’s face it, any time the government takes any control of what is presented on the airways, newspapers or the internet it is censorship. I didn’t say that, the liberals have said that for decades to condone allowing smut and porn. They are afraid of the government deciding what is appropriate in these areas and I am too because I believe government in this area is a slippery slope.
I know the O-Chip is a drastic measure. So is the fairness doctrine. If we implement the fairness doctrine, what is next? Will the government check the content of political ads? This is how governments get control. They control the banks, healthcare, manufacturing (jobs) and the media and we have totalitarianism. Look at what has happened since BO was elected.
The fairness doctrine is just one step on that path but it is a critical step.
So kill the fairness doctrine or give me the O-Chip.

The fairness doctrine is not being reinstated.
Talk radio is jamming that lie down your throat so you’ll keep listening and get angrier.
It’s a distraction to keep us fighting one another. Obama has gone on record as being against the fairness doctrine. The media is also against it, as it severely limits the First Amendment.
Liberals aren’t in favor of the fairness doctrine. The only people the fairness doctrine helps are talk radio hosts because it keeps you listening.
Take things with a grain of salt. Everyone has an agenda, no matter what side of the fence they sit on.
Read Obama’s lips, No Fairness doctrine. But he wants control of the media!

I actually don’t listen to conservative talk radio. This is the difference that you libs don’t understand. There isn’t a conservative collective that thinks alike as there is in the liberal think groups. We read, we make our own decisions. Sure there are ditto heads. But many conservatives do their own thinking.
As for BO, I am giving him the same consideration and respect you people gave Bush…..
Interesting, I didn’t vote for Barack Obama or George Bush, I’m not a liberal, but I do think modern conservatism is so far off the mark that it refuses to abide by its own rules. Bush expanded the size and scope of government far more than any Democrat has, aside from FDR.
And I’m not asking for respect of the president. Who is president, as far as I’m concerned, is no more important to me than who is taking my mail over at the post office. Just a government employee who wastes my time and money, and someone I shouldn’t concern myself with. Congress are the ones who make the laws, the president just signs them with a pen, and even if he doesn’t, they become law after 10 days anyway.
There is group think as far as conservatives go. That’s why they lump themselves into a group of like-minded people. Liberals and conservatives are just two sides of the same ugly coin. Fighting over petty crap like abortion and flag burning and gay marriage to distract the public from the other unconstitutional nonsense they are doing.
I don’t know where you stand on the Second Amendment, but if you’re concerned at all about guns being taken away, I wouldn’t be looking to the Democrats. They rail against them all day long, but if they tried to make a move, they’d be voted down in a second. Gun grabbing will come in the form of people like Mitt Romney and other “conservatives” and Republicans will go along with him because of the “R” next to his name.
Anyone who wants to be president wants to be a dictator. That’s the problem with power. So don’t rail against me. Rail against the people who still think anyone has a voice in Washington other than the elite.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I have my own views and beliefs that are too varied to be called either liberal or conservative. The two party system we have is what has made us apathetic, divided and suspicious of anyone who disagrees with us. We are sheep.
I disagree with you on most of this including the piece of crap who is in the white house.
But I also believe in free speech and a free market of ideas which the liberals do not. They will allow filth like porn in the name of free speech and suppress thos who disagree.
I have two major problems with you.
First is the anonymity. Use your name. Be responsible. Let me known who is saying it. I want to know if it is someone who knows something.
Second, if you want to write a thesis that is longer than mine, write it, put it out on Triond or somewhere, even link to it from a response to me. But don’t post responses longer than mine article. That is not a valid response.
