Here is nine interesting world records based on number of people participated. The attempts vary from parachuting to tea party. Most of them are set to make a Guinness book entry. Another notable factor is that all most of them are recorded very recently, within two years! Exceptions are the adventurous attempts among them- parachuting from balloon and human mobile.

Largest Wobble Board Ensemble
The employees of AIRMILES gathered for todays largest recorded Wobble Board Ensemble in Bolton, UK on 12th July, 2007. 359 of them wobbled their boards for 5 minutes to the tune of “Tie Me Kangaroo Down Spot”.
Longest Contra Line
1,048 participants from Island School, Hong Kong danced to the song “YMCA” by the village people. The world’s longest contra line was formed at Island school on 25 September 2007.
Most to Parachute from a Balloon Simultaneously
Paraclub Flevo of Lelystad, The Netherlands, organized the event, where 20 members jumped from a balloon simultaneously at 2,000 m (6,500 ft) over Markelo, The Netherlands, on May 10, 2003.
Largest Human Mobile
On June 14, 2003, at Veddel, Hamburg, Germany, 24 people from Height Rescue Fire Department Team made the largest human mobile! The mobile was suspended from a crane and its lowest part was 50 meters off the ground.

10,036 danced to make history at the Dublin Irish Festival organized by the City of Dublin in Dublin, Ohio, USA on August 4, 2007.

The Dhanik Bhaskar newspaper organized the record breaking tea party at Indore, India, on 24th February 2008. Living up to the nations reputation of a tea loving nation 32,681 tea drinkers queued outside the Nehru stadium on the event.
Largest Guitar Ensemble
The largest guitar ensemble involved 1,721 participants who played Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke on the Water’ at the Community America Ballpark in Kansas City, Kansas, United States on June 3, 2007.
Note: The event was eclipsed by 1,802 participants who played the same song at an event in Leinfelden, Germany. But not yet listed by the Guinness.

The second largest populated school has the most populated school! The City Montessori School in Lucknow, India, bags the record of the largest school by pupils. The school had a record enrollment of 32,114 pupils on 5 February 2008 for the 2007-2008 academic year.
