On The Road to Nowhere
On The Road To Nowhere.
On The Road To Where?
On the road again too nowhere or anywhere fast. This is what happened to John and Nancy Feldman as they had planned a vacation as a road trip across country. Their journey started at 5:00 AM Monday morning, but heading in the wrong direction. On the map, it was west, but for some strange reason, they were going north. John and Nancy were on interstate 80, and the sign should read, “You are 500 miles away in the wrong direction”.
They had arrived in Connecticut, but their first stop was supposed to be Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So Mr. Feldman suggested, he will take the back road as a short cut. That idea was short lived, and a lesson learned. The car wined up getting stuck in mud near a farm of cattle accompanied by their waste mixed in with the mud. John got out of the car, and told his wife to take the steering wheel while he pushed the car. As Nancy stepped on the gas, their was a pool of mud on John’s face and body. What is that smell? Waste and more waste, rubbish! The car is finally out of mud, but where are we? John and Nancy had no clue. John decided to try the wind approach, but putting a finger too test the direction of the wind, he was more full of wind then the wind itself. Well, they are now back on I-80, but going in the right direction this time.
This time, they are on the Pennsylvania Turnpike heading for Pittsburgh. As they were riding again, the tire blows in the back, and they pull too the side on the turnpike. Nancy was now eating with the food they had packed. John looks too his wife, and asks, “How can you eat now”? Do you see a rest area in sight and Nancy passes him some food, but what about the flat tire? Nancy, John, Nancy, John, they fell asleep on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but it’s night, when will we arrive in Pittsburgh.
To be continued on the next chapter, highway bliss with a miss. I’m sleepy now, see you in the morning arriving in the next adventure of the unknown.
