The World’s Most Expensive vs The Simplest

Most people dream of the most expensive things in the world while others would prefer simple things.

Have you ever dream of purchasing and owning some of the world’s most expensive things like, house, car, jewelries and many others? Well, watch out, here are some of the world’s most expensive.

World’s Most Expensive Home

The world’s most expensive home is worth $165 million located in Beverly, California USA.

The only way I can own such house is through my dreams because there’s no possibility at all for me to accumulate such enormous amount of money. And even if given the chance to have billions of dollars, I will never buy or built such house because my dream house is a house made of pure bamboo like the one in the photo below.

My Ideal Home

World’s Most Expensive Hotel

The world’s most expensive hotel is Atlantis in Bahamas. The Atlantis Bridge Suite has the distinction of being the most expensive hotel suite in the world – a whopping $25,000 a night. Found on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The Bridge Suite is located on top of a bridge that connects the two Royal Towers buildings, so it overlooks the entire resort and marina.

For me, even if I have all the money in the world, I’d rather stay in a rest house like the photo below, a bamboo rest house. It’s cool and earthquake proof.

A Bamboo Rest House

World’s Most Expensive Car

The world’s most expensive car is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the most powerful, most expensive, and fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a proven top speed of over 400 km/h (407 km/h or 253 mph).

World’s Most Expensive Vintage Car

A record was set for the highest price ever paid for a vintage car at auction when a 1961 Ferrari California Spyder was sold for almost $11 million. A 1961 Ferrari California Spyder sold for $10,894,900 at an auction in Maranello, Italy.

Since I don’t have the means of purchasing these cars, I guess, I will always have to contend myself with my motorbike and my dirt bike and of course my bicycle for my weekly exercise.

My DirtBike

World’s Most Expensive Painting

The world’s most expensive painting is worth $142.7 the No.5, 1948 by Jackson Pollock 1948 sold in a private sale in 2006 and was bought by David Martinez. No. 5, 1948 is an abstract painting.

I am a lover of arts. I’ll just see them in pictures or in museums if I have the chance.

The Most Expensive Book in the World

The most expensive book is the Codex LeicesterbyLeonardo da Vinci, written in mirror writing on expensive paper with lawn finish. Bill Gates bought it for $24 millions.

I have my own collection of books but I never dream of purchasing some of the most expensive books in the world, after all, almost all information we want to obtain nowadays is just a click away. I would add that one of the most important books a person should own, aside from the Bible, is a set of encyclopedia.

My Books

World’s Most Expensive Guitar

The world’s most expensive guitar is still a Stratocaster, but it’s no longer Eric Clapton’s Blackie. The title of most expensive now belongs to a new Stratocaster recently sold at auction for $2.7 million USD in Doha, Qatar. It was sold to benefit a tsunami charity, Reach Out to Asia, and was bought by the royal family of Qatar, who had donated the instrument to the auction (they bought it at a previous charity auction for over a million).

I love music and I always will. I love playing my acoustic guitar. I can bring it anywhere and strum it anytime as well, with or without electric current.

My Guitar

World’s Most Expensive Wristwatch

The world’s most expensive wristwatch is the Tour de l’Ile by Vacheron Constantin with a price of $1.5 million.

I am contented with my ordinary wristwatch. I don’t want to wear expensive watches because wearing expensive things will put your life in constant danger. In the Philippines, wearing expensive wristwatches is very risky.

The Most Expensive Pet in the World

The most expensive pet in the world is the white lion cub with a price tag: $138,000. Whew, the very rare white lion is expensive because of a recessive gene and the animals are not considered to be albino. The White Lion’s eye color is similar to the regular lion but the coat pigmentation and skin are not. Due to its price, demand, upkeep and scarcity, the White Lion remains one of the most difficult animals in the world to obtain.

I have a dog, two cats and three fishes. I think that’s fine with me. Instead of purchasing a white lion worth $138,000, I’d rather purchased an educational plan for my kids. Anyway, I personally believe that this animal belongs to the wild and it should stay where it rightfully belongs.

My Pets

Well, I hope you enjoyed this article. It’s nice to be rich and famous because you can buy almost anything you want, but for me, I would rather keep my simple way of living.

    Very interesting.
It’s great that you value your own choices more!

A friend of mine, who happens to be rich, always shows us pictures of themselves in very expensive hotels and vacation resorts. Once I asked them why they looked so woody and frozen in the pictures as if they didn’t enjoy themselves. He answered “It’s so expensive, you’ve got be alert”.

I never knew about the house, let alone the white lion! You got to have money to burn for these items. But it’s not worth it, rather the simple life and the simple little things that don’t cost the world are the ones that cost heaps less but count the most! Fantastic article!!!

    Hi
You can have your Bamboo House. It’s available as a kit from Bamboo Technologies (see wab site at http://bambooliving.com )
We manufacture the entire house in our factory in Vietnam. It’s then broken apart as wall and roof panels that can be shipped anywhere in the world and re-assembled in a matter of days. Very eco-friendly.
I’d be happy to send you more info.
    All the best!

I agree with your choices, Nobert. I would like to not have to struggle quite as much, but to have all that luxury would not bring fulfillment either.

Great article. Thanks and take care.
